Eternal Love Story
Hi, we're Nikki & Magda.
Source Mode didn't start with the idea of founding a Christian fashion brand. To be honest, it didn't even start with faith.
We had no real connection to God, Jesus or church. Source Mode only came about through experiences that completely changed our understanding of life, love and whatever might be greater than what we can see.
What grew out of that is our way of passing this experience on. Not as a religion we want to explain to anyone. But as an open door.
Through clothing. Through design. Right in the middle of real life.

Umm. Wait, what?
God? That wasn't the plan. I didn't know God. To me, Jesus was a figure from history, and church played no role in my life. I wasn't looking for him.
My first encounter with God came during “The Journey”, a method in which you move through different emotional layers. At some point there were no more layers. No thoughts, no fear, nothing I had to explain.
There was only perfect love.
And the only thought: God.
umm. wait, what? I said it out loud and was completely confused and stunned. This can't be true. God?! Seriously?
After that, something began that I could hardly make sense of at the time. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit kept showing up in my life in different ways – so tangibly that at some point I was able to start looking, listening and understanding.
The next moment that changed everything came on January 6, 2022. I was 42 and at my lowest point, emotionally and physically. Of all days, it was Epiphany, the day Jesus was revealed. And at 42 – which, as we all know, is the answer to everything. Coincidence? Maybe. Either way, the timing could hardly have been better.
On that day Jesus met me in a way I never expected: through a T-shirt and a little plush Jesus. Not through words, but through an act full of love. So unconditional, so real and so overwhelming.
For about two hours there was something I had never known before. A love that didn't feel like an ordinary human feeling. Complete. Unconditional. Without fear.
In that moment, my fears were simply gone.
For me, that is where Source Mode began.
I know what it's like to have no access to God or Jesus. I also know that an encounter doesn't have to happen where you expect it. For me it wasn't church walls. It was completely everyday things.
That's why we make clothing.
Not to tell anyone what to believe. But because sometimes a T-shirt is just a T-shirt – and sometimes it can become a touchpoint.
Every piece carries a little of this story forward. Quietly, openly and right in the middle of real life. Maybe it will simply stay a piece you love. Maybe one day it will become more.
Both are okay.
Source Mode was born from an encounter, not from a business plan.
With love, Magda
02 · Nikki's Story
Suddenly, so much could no longer be taken for granted.
For a long time I had no real connection to God. Faith hardly played a role in my childhood and youth. And yet there were those few moments when I prayed – mostly when I was really struggling.
That changed when I had my first son. When he was four, I gave him a children's Bible and we started reading it together every day. Later I got to know Nina Hagen personally. Through her I found a completely different, new way into faith. I began to feel connected to God, explored spirituality a lot at the same time, and after the birth of my second son I had a very personal experience that I still feel today was an encounter with God in the form of a guardian angel.
Then my life became harder.
In 2021 I fell ill with long COVID, and later with ME/CFS. Suddenly, much of what I used to take for granted could no longer be taken for granted. There are days when my own strength is barely enough and I think: I can't go on.
In one of these hardest times I met Magda. To me, God sent her to me. Through her and the time we've shared, my faith has changed and deepened once more.
Today, faith for me doesn't mean going to church every Sunday or reading the Bible every day. It shows itself much more in my life. In what I experience. In gratitude for things I probably wouldn't even have thought about before. For still being able to walk a little. For not having lost my laughter. And in not having to carry and control everything alone.
When my own strength isn't enough, I'm held by the thought that someone is there. That I'm allowed to be led. That God is there and watching over me.
That's exactly why Source Mode felt right to me from the very beginning.
I don't want to tell anyone how they have to believe. I myself can't do much with a faith made up mostly of rules and expectations. For me, the way to God can be easy. Personal. Free. Without pressure and without preconditions.
Source Mode connects exactly that with something that belongs to our life today: fashion, design and real encounters.
Maybe faith sometimes begins much more simply than we think. With a moment in which you feel:
Someone is there. I am seen. I am held. I don't have to walk this path alone.
That's what Source Mode is to me. – Nikki
